Happy May Everyone!
Welcome to the CJOS May 2024 monthly blog post! 🌼 Happy Spring🌷 We are still continuing the trend of warm🌡️ sunny ☀️ days with occasional rainy 💦 weekends in between. This is helping all of the spring plants, trees, and flowers to grow and bloom with beautiful green and all colors of the rainbow! Nature 🦋🐞 is alive and gardens are beginning to look super productive!🪱 With the warmer weather and nighttime low temperatures >= 50F°, it should now be warm enough for most orchids to grow outside. The natural daylight and temperature adjustments between day and night will continue to help stimulate lots of new growth and flowers.
With June quickly approaching, we are getting ready for the annual CJOS picnic at Anne Skalka's house. The invites and potluck sign-up information should be emailed to CJOS members soon. [ *CJOS Annual Picnic on June 22, 2024 | Anne Skalka's House | Details to follow via email! ]
We hope to continue to grow CJOS as a fun and knowledgeable orchid society; We welcome all to join us monthly! Happy orchid growing and gardening!

If you are bringing a plant for the display table, you may now prepare and print your Plant ID tag via this 'Plant ID Cards Link'.
*Please take note there are a few new changes this year. For starters, our new meeting venue will be Trinity Church (33 Mercer St., Princeton, NJ 08540, (USA)). The meeting time has also changed from 6:30pm to 7pm. All are welcome to attend a meeting; especially if it is your first time and introduction to CJOS. Grab a member and ask lots of questions about what CJOS is and how to join!
